Raising Global Awareness of Trichomonas
In 2020, over 374 million new STIs were acquired globally, averaging more than 1 million cases daily. In Zimbabwe, syndromic management remains the standard of care, with diagnostic testing largely unavailable in low to middle-income settings (1). SEKISUI Diagnostics remains committed to our vision of creating a healthy, sustainable world. To continue with the vision and to raise awareness of the global health concern regarding STIs, SEKISUI diagnostics is proud to collaborate with Dr. Chido Dziva Chikwari, Epidemiologist, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and Dr. Kevin Martin, Clinical Research Fellow, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and LabMedica International on an educational webinar covering the topics of STI burdens in Zimbabwe.
Key Learning Points Include:
- Explore strategies in sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing with a focus on real-world applications from Zimbabwe
- Key lessons learned from the STICH trial – investigating the impact of providing community-based STI testing and management in the youth population of Zimbabwe.
- Discover ongoing investigations of STI testing in Antenatal Clinic settings.
